Anti-Spam Policy

Salesnado, operated by KJ Bucketlist Investments, LLC, is committed to responsible email practices. We recognize that our platform deploys autonomous AI agents that send email at scale, and we take this responsibility seriously. This Anti-Spam Policy outlines our commitment to compliance, the safeguards we enforce, and the actions we take against abuse.

1. CAN-SPAM Compliance

All emails sent through the Salesnado platform comply with the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 and applicable international anti-spam regulations. This means every email sent by our platform:

  • Contains accurate header information and a non-deceptive subject line.
  • Identifies the message as an advertisement or solicitation where applicable.
  • Includes the sender's valid physical mailing address.
  • Provides a clear and functional mechanism for recipients to opt out of future emails.
  • Honors opt-out requests within 10 business days.

2. 7-Layer Safety Guardrails

Our AI agents operate within a comprehensive safety framework designed to prevent abuse and protect domain reputation. Every agent is subject to the following guardrails:

  • Layer 1 — Agent Mode Check: Agent must be explicitly enabled on the mailbox before any autonomous actions occur.
  • Layer 2 — Project Kill Switch: A project-level kill switch (agent_mode_paused) can immediately halt all agent activity across all mailboxes in a project.
  • Layer 3 — Confidence Threshold: AI classification must meet a configurable confidence threshold before any auto-reply is sent. Low-confidence messages are held for review.
  • Layer 4 — Category Whitelist: Only replies to pre-approved email categories are auto-sent. Unrecognized or sensitive categories are blocked.
  • Layer 5 — Should-Reply Detection: AI evaluates whether a reply is appropriate in context. Emails that should not receive a response (e.g., unsubscribe requests, out-of-office) are automatically skipped.
  • Layer 6 — Thread Depth Limit: Agents stop responding after a configurable number of exchanges per thread (default: 5) to prevent infinite loops.
  • Layer 7 — Hourly Rate Limit: A per-agent cap on auto-replies per hour (default: 20) prevents runaway sending in the event of unexpected inbound volume.

3. Contact List Requirements

We require that all contact lists used on the platform meet the following standards:

  • Contacts must have a lawful basis for receiving commercial email. Purchased lists are permitted only if the contacts have been independently verified and have not opted out of commercial solicitation.
  • All email addresses are subject to verification before sending. Invalid, disposable, and role-based addresses are flagged or removed.
  • Contacts sourced through our lead sourcing service use only verified business email addresses obtained through legitimate data enrichment providers.
  • Uploading scraped, harvested, or illegally obtained email addresses is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination.

4. What We Monitor

We continuously monitor the following metrics across all accounts to detect and prevent spam-like behavior:

  • Bounce Rate: Accounts exceeding a 5% hard bounce rate are flagged for review. Accounts exceeding 10% are automatically paused.
  • Complaint Rate: Spam complaints are tracked via Mailgun feedback loops. Accounts exceeding a 0.1% complaint rate trigger immediate investigation.
  • Unsubscribe Rate: Abnormally high unsubscribe rates indicate poor targeting and trigger account review.
  • Domain Reputation: We monitor sender domain reputation through delivery metrics and third-party reputation services. Agents that harm deliverability are paused automatically.
  • Content Analysis: AI-generated email content is monitored for deceptive claims, misleading subject lines, and prohibited content categories.

5. Kill Switch Capability

We maintain the ability to immediately halt all email sending for any account, project, or agent at any time. Our kill switch operates at multiple levels:

  • Agent Level: Individual AI agents can be disabled instantly, stopping all autonomous replies and outbound sequences.
  • Project Level: The agent_mode_paused flag halts all agent activity across an entire project simultaneously.
  • Account Level: Full account suspension immediately stops all sending, agent activity, and cron processing for the account.
  • Platform Level: In the event of a systemic issue, we can halt all sending across the entire platform within seconds.

6. Complaint Handling

We take every spam complaint seriously. When a complaint is received:

  • The complaining recipient is immediately and permanently removed from all sending lists across the platform.
  • The sending account is flagged for review by our team.
  • If a pattern of complaints is detected, the account is suspended pending investigation.
  • Repeat offenders are permanently banned from the platform.

7. What Gets You Terminated

The following actions will result in immediate account termination without refund:

  • Sending emails to scraped, harvested, or illegally obtained contact lists.
  • Deliberately circumventing safety guardrails, rate limits, or platform restrictions.
  • Sending phishing, malware, or fraudulent content through the platform.
  • Maintaining bounce rates above 10% after being warned.
  • Sending content that promotes illegal activities, violence, or discrimination.
  • Using the platform to send emails on behalf of prohibited industries (see our Acceptable Use Policy).
  • Any use that materially damages the reputation or deliverability of our shared sending infrastructure.

8. Reporting Abuse

If you have received an unwanted email sent through the Salesnado platform, or if you believe a Salesnado user is violating this policy, please contact us immediately at keith@salesnado.com with the full email headers and a description of the issue. We investigate all reports within 24 hours and take appropriate action, up to and including permanent account termination.
